Don’t you just love Monday Morning?
I actually do, sounds crazy hey?
But it’s the beginning of a new week full of possibilities, full of things that will happen that you may not know anything about yet, just waiting for you to plan, prepare and send it in a direction that you want to go in. It’s a bit like having the full tank of petrol feeling!
My 12-year-old, on the other hand, Hates Monday Morning with a passion!
You have to love it when you’ve been out of bed since s 4.30 am to train in order to be ready to get the kids up, fed, dressed and looking somewhat presentable for school, then, you open miss 12’s bedroom door at a perfectly reasonable time of 6.20 am to be greeted with “really! It is 6.20am, I do not get up till 6.30am but if you are doing breakfast I will have a cheese toastie” end of the conversation.
Mr 5, on the other hand, is a little ray of morning sunshine, thank goodness. Every morning without fail I am greeted with a beautiful smile, a cuddle and an in-depth conversation about some wonderfully imagined world he has visited in his dreams.
Isn’t it amazing how different your kids can be, not only from you but from each other, one in the depths of despair because it’s morning already and the other commenting on the beautiful sunrise and how nice it is to hear the birds wake up…go figure!
Thank goodness we are all normal in our own unique way!
