So, the weekend is nearly over, our reluctant brains will be starting to click back into routine mode making sure we have everything ready for the kids for school, for us for work, that the washing is done and ready for tomorrow.
If your household is anything like mine, Monday morning can be a bit stressful with an 11-year-old who really doesn’t want to go to school and a 5-year-old who has one speed a step away from stopping altogether!
So how about you, how are you going to prep yourself for the week. I always think of it as a new week of possibilities, what can you achieve by the end of it, what will have happened, what will you have changed to improve your life, even if it is just one small step towards something you have been dreaming about.
Write a list of your goals and dreams, empty them all out onto paper, it doesn’t matter how big they are or how unachievable they seem or even how small they are, write them down
Then sort them into lists of when you want to achieve them – end of this week, end of the month, 6 months’ time, 12 months’ time
Now break each down into small achievable steps, one thing at a time that you can do to get you to where you want to be, obviously the bigger the goal the more steps you can break it into, but let’s set one goal right now that you are going to achieve by the end of this week, maybe something you have been procrastinating about – booking that dentist appointment or cleaning out a cupboard. You will be amazed how much better you will feel just getting it done.
Does that seem more achievable now?
